	Keep It Roll is the only true street skating competition in South Africa. The event is not held in any skatepark, but out in the streets where where real rolling was born. 2003 will see the 3rd Keep It Roll take place in Stellenbosch in the Eastern Cape of SA. Provision dates for the comp are the 6th / 7th December 2003.

		Yes No Yes No Yes No Session Knock-Out Yes No Yes No Don't know what it is Yes No Don't know what it is	The G.I.C Keep It Roll street comp is held in loving memory of Gazza Cartwright, a 1st generation roller from JHB who passed away tragically in 2001 in a motorcycle accident. 2001 : Keep It Roll 1 The first real street comp was held at 8th street in Cape Town, directly after the Alex Cup finals at Century City [the same day!] It was a knock-out style comp, where all the entrants competed in heats against each other, starting on a curb and narrowing the field down. The finalists then moved on to the rails, and in a snatch-victory Matthew Dowdle from Johannesburg won by jumping the kink of the skinny, rounded roll-in. 2002 : Keep It Roll 2 KIR.2 took place in Bellville [CT] the day after the 2002 Alex Cup. This time it was an open session competition, where anyone could skate any of the 3 spots, with the winner chosen as the best overall skater. Tristan McQue from Cape Town took the 2002 title by skating consistently well at every spot, and by doing a soul grind on a kinked rail that nobody else would do. He walked away with R1000 prize money, as well as two roll.1 tees. Many t-shirts were also given out as runner-up prizes. Keep It Roll is proudly sponsored by Roll.1
